Worthiness

You are worthy of living the life you’ve dreamed of! I am not making this statement as a way to get on your good side. I truly and deeply mean it.

We are all born beautiful, little, innocent babies. We are all given the opportunity to live life and thrive. I think we can all see some truth in this.

But as we grow older, we have a shift in this belief. It sometimes seems the magic is removed from our lives. We may stop dreaming as big as we once did as kids. Or even stop having fun and enjoying ourselves genuinely. I’m not sure at what age this happened to me, but it certainly did, and without me even realizing it.

It almost felt like I needed to earn my worthiness to have the things I wanted in life. In order to be able to start my family I needed to have a certain number in my bank account, have the perfect job, and have it all “figured out”. I couldn’t just create these things in my life because I wanted to, I had to be worthy of having them.

Some may think they lost their worthiness because of something they did. Maybe they were a heart-breaker in high school, and therefore thought that meant they could not find their ideal partner once they were ready to settle down with someone. They think because of what they did in their past, they didn’t earn their worthiness to find true love as an adult.

And who can really determine who is a more worthy human?!

No one person is better or worse than another.

For much of my life I did not agree with that sentence. In fact, I believed quite the opposite. “I’m not good enough to…” That was a belief I more than often told myself. And it held me back from so much!

I now know we are all here to be something great. This will look different for each of us, and that is a wonderful thing! For some of us, being a phenomenal mother and dedicating our life to our children will be our purpose. Maybe for others is being an educator and helping our youth succeed.

No matter what it is that we want to make of our lives, it is truly special. Please know you are worthy exactly as you are right at this very moment. You do not need to change anything about yourself to be “more worthy”. You are perfectly you, and that is a beautiful thing!

Have you questioned your worthiness for something you’d like to pursue?
